The Lakiya project, in Israel's Negev desert near Beersheva, intends to bring about social change by building a foundation for local economic development. It is operated by Sidreh, a non-profit Bedouin women's organization.

Peace Fleece

A small enterprise which works with sheep herders and craftspeople in war-torn parts of the world, this group cards and spins the fleece collected, and sells it, along with finished items and patterns, through their catalogue. Palestinian and Israeli Beduins as well as Russians are included.
